On the other hand these should always be kept in mind and made use of if these NGOs desire to garner support from the audience in the form of funds, volunteerism or resources in any other form. These are some of the basic tips the NGOs can make use of in order to make their presentations worthwhile. As most NGOs work for human welfare, it is mandatory to first touch the audience’s heart by showing the plight and predicaments of suffering humanity. The fascinated and influenced audience is more likely to fund, support or volunteer for the cause of the NGO.Īnother way to make the presentations more effective and valuable is to make use of visuals both pictures and videos which are illustrative and supplement the message given to the audience. This can be done by asking interesting questions about the focus of the presentation or NGO’s field and then continuing with interesting answers which fascinate the audience. Thirdly, it is very much important to keep the presentation interactive with the audience if it is not so then nothing is more boring than listening to someone going on and on uninterrupted. This includes asking a question or showing some visuals. This is when people pay most of the attention otherwise one should after every few minutes do something to grab the audience’s attention back. Secondly, the presentations that these NGOs give should have a lot of focus given to the very beginning and the end of the presentation. On the other hand if NGOs do not focus on this and start with the long-winded explanations of their organization and its track record, they stand a chance of getting their audience bored.
As the audience is generally curious about the whole purpose of the forum to which they are invited, this is a great way to grab their attention. Some of these points and tips would be discussed in the due course.įirstly, as every other presentation the presenter should start with the main point of the whole presentation. However, as the NGOs mainly strive to contribute to the society in some way and to make the world a better place, there is much that the advocate of the NGO should emphasize upon, as there is somewhat a higher significance of such presentations themselves. As every presentation hopes to educate, inquire or inspire the audience in one way or the other, the same goes for the NGOs which put forward the purpose of the presentations to the larger audience. They also serve to present the audience with the future goals and aims of the organization by presenting to the potential funder, potential supporter and various volunteers who share the same aspirations as the NGO itself.
Presentations in general serve many purposes, similarly when it comes to presentation from various NGOs these essentially include first and fore mostly sharing the NGO’s mission, vision and its accomplishments.
